Newcastle University are running a project investigating the lived experiences of refugees and asylum seekers and the response of organisations who provide services for them in the context of COVID-19 in the UK.

This project is funded by ESRC’s COVID-19 Rapid Response Research Call (ref: ES/V01541/1). The project is led by a research team at Newcastle University comprising Professor Peter Hopkins, Dr Matthew Benwell and Dr Robin Finlay.

More about the project

As well as interviewing refugees and asylum seekers, the team are conducting a UK-wide survey that will provide a nationwide overview of the impact of the pandemic on organisations who work with, or for, refugees and asylum seekers.
