Melodies for Mums is a six-week on line singing programme that will research the impact of singing on the mental health of new mothers with babies under 9 months.

The programme is based on original research carried out in 2016 by the Royal College of music and Imperial college that showed that community group singing can have a significant impact on reducing levels of anxiety, depression, a sense of isolation in the community and assist with bonding.

It is free to attend but participants will be invited to take part in the study and contribute to research lead by Kings College London.

Our first programme will be held via zoom on Tuesday 16 February 2021 and interested participants can apply by completing an expression of interest.

There are two options for sessions you can apply to join:

Wednesday morning between 10:00 and 11:00
Wednesday morning between 11:15 and 12:15
