Latest CS news It's Black History Month 2021 Published 5 Oct 2021 We have so many people of African and Caribbean Heritage living in Southwark. October’s Black History Month gives us an opportunity to celebrate the huge contribution they have made and continue to make to Southwark and all over the United Kingdom. This October we will see a return to some in person events, which will be a welcome relief after most events had to be held virtually last year due to the COVID -19 pandemic. There are so many different events happening all over Southwark, such as poetry, films, art, theatre, music and storytelling. All bringing the experiences of our African and Caribbean communities to life so that people from all backgrounds can celebrate the vital part these communities have played in shaping Southwark and London. Black History Month is all about celebrating the past, present and future of African and Caribbean culture and diversity. For more on Black History Month in Southwark go to the website page here.
