Link Age Southwark are recruiting a Community Fundraising and Events Coordinator

Link Age Southwark is a vibrant local charity which helps to ensure that older people living in the London Borough of Southwark can thrive in later life. We work with our dedicated volunteers to provide the support that local older people need to live happy, healthy lives.

We work with up to 600 older people each year, and with 400 volunteers, to support older to people stay connected with their communities, alleviating loneliness and reducing isolation by improving health and wellbeing and making communities stronger through volunteering. Our service provision includes volunteer befriending; social, exercise and activity groups; plus dementia specific services for anyone with a dementia diagnosis.

They are recruiting a full time Community Fundraising and Events Coordinator to join their team. The role will be responsible for meeting the annual income target for community fundraising and events. This will involve developing and overseeing the delivery of our annual fundraising events calendar, as well as our fundraising campaigns and appeals. You will be assisted in your role by our Volunteer Fundraising Committee, who play an active part in making our events happen.

We are in the process of launching a new programme, which involves recruiting and engaging a team of Young Fundraisers. You will spearhead this initiative and develop and support the Young Fundraisers in their role.

Link Age Southwark benefits from strong local support in the form of individual and business patrons and supporters. Stewardship of these individuals, as well as generating new patrons and supporters, will be a key part of the role.

The candidate will work partly from home and partly from our offices in Southwark, London.
