Led by the British Safety Council and using materials from MHFA England, this introductory course will cover:

  • What mental health is, and how to challenge stigma
  • A basic knowledge of some common mental health issues
  • An introduction to looking after your own mental health and maintaining wellbeing
  • Confidence to support someone in distress or who may be experiencing a mental health issue

Everyone who completes the course gets:

  • A certificate of attendance to say you are Mental Health Aware
  • A manual to refer to whenever you need it
  • A workbook including a helpful toolkit to support your own mental health

Course materials

In order to receive the workbook and other resources for this course we will be asking for a postal address for each attendee. This will be given to the training partner Britsafe, and will only be used for this purpose.

A link to join the online meeting will be sent out to everyone who has registered, one week before the event.
