IVAR, experts in charity and community support, are hosting a series of free workshops for charity leaders, helping them manage in uncertain times.

For this first session, you can join theim and other charity leaders for a 90 minute discussion about the benefits and challenges of working in partnership with other organisations.

You will have space to share challenges, time to pause and reflect, and the opportunity to hear each other’s experiences of partnership working.

This session is facilitated by Eliza Buckley and Sonakshi Anand from IVAR (Institute for Voluntary Action Research), who will share insights during the session from:

  • Supporting over 18 cross-sector partnerships to engage communities in the design and delivery of local healthcare services
  • Our 20-year experience of facilitating everything from informal partnerships to mergers, summarised in Thinking about… collaboration and Thinking about… merger, during Covid-19

Other discussions in this three-month Leading in Uncertainty drop-in series will cover Wellbeing and supporting your team and Social tech and digital inclusion.

They will aim to publish a summary/output from the session, capturing some of the current challenges facing the voluntary sector. This is an opportunity to influence their community of over 100 Open and Trusting Grantmakers.

Examples of feedback IVAR have received when delivering similar sessions:

‘Just a really creative, enabling space that gave great solidarity, encouragement and peer-to-peer support during Covid-19. Invaluable. Love it. It has been excellent.’
