About the Theatre Project

A hub for young Latinx theatre lovers opens its doors for the first time in Southwark.  The Latinx Youth Theatre brings together some of London’s leading theatre professionals, cultural visits and masterclasses with industry experts to help young performers and creatives develop their passion into a professional creative practice. Mixing the best of Latin American and British performing styles, this is a unique opportunity for young Latinx to nurture their talents in a safe environment, learn life skills, find their voice and share it with London's theatre industry and the world.

Who are they looking for?

20 Latinx young people aged 14-19 from Southwark. If you love to sing, to dance or to perform in any way at all and want to look at taking theatre and the arts seriously this might be for you! There are only 20 places and so there will be Admission sessions.

When and Where?

Workshops start on Saturday 29th May and run weekly for 22 weeks, from 2pm - 5pm.All of the workshops will take place at The Southwark Playhouse, EN EL BARRIO, Elephant and Castle.
