Latest Community news & jobs It's Race Equality Week Taking place in February (1-7 Feb), Race Equality Week will be a UK-wide annual initiative to unite organisations and individuals in activity to address issues affecting ethnic minority employees. 2020 saw Black Lives Matter, sparked by the death of George Floyd, and the tragic impact of COVID-19 on the ethnic minority community. These drew more attention to the inequalities that many of our members have been fighting for decades and this has added new impetus to Community Southwark's commitment to supporting communities in this struggle. With Black Lives Matter protests continuing to take place across the globe there is a very real possibility of creating meaningful change in racial equality both in the workforce & in society.
