Full time, permanent contract: £26,452 to £30,540 (starting salary depending on qualifications and experience), plus contributory pension

Bede is an established local charity sitting at the heart of the Bermondsey community. Bede Starfish Project supports clients who have complex needs to end domestic abuse.

The small, dynamic team uses a flexible, creative casework approach to help clients successfully to live safer lives. A key element in their success lies in accompanying clients to court and social services meetings. Bede works to break the cycle of long-term abuse through their Freedom Programme and Survivors’ peer support groups.

About the role

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced and adaptable IDVA/Caseworker who wants to do more long-term front facing client work with individuals at high risk and with complex needs.

If you do not already have the Safer Lives IDVA qualification, we will fund your training to achieve it.

You will have the opportunity to use your holistic skills to help those most vulnerable, including clients who have no recourse to public funds or are facing childcare proceedings. Working from our office in Southwark, you will work closely with the local Community Safety Unit and will be based once a week at Brixton police station.
