Introduction to Mental Health

A 1-hour taster session introducing you to some of the mental health essentials. This can be used as a refresher for those who have already done a Mental Health First Aid course or as an introduction for those deciding whether to take a longer course.

This session will be repeated on:

• Tuesday 16 February 5.30- 6.30pm 
• Monday 22 February, 2-3pm 
• Thursday 04 March, 10-11am 
• Wednesday 07 April, 2-3pm 

Content:

Learners will:
– Keep awareness of current mental health supports
– Update knowledge of mental health and what influences it
– Practice applying the Mental Health First Aid action plan

Who should attend? 

This training is aimed at organisations and individuals working with young people, children, families and adults.

Please note this session is limited to two participants per organisation, per course.

Community Southwark members: free (with proof of membership)

Non-members: £15
